This Journal is where we’ll unpack all of that.

You’ll find reflections on fragrance and emotion, behind-the-scenes notes on how our niche perfume discovery kits come together, and conversations about the strange, beautiful ways scent moves through our lives. We’ll talk about perfume as storytelling, about the small rituals of trying again, and about what it means to choose how you want to smell — even when the rest of life is chaos.

We’ll also highlight independent perfumers we love, explore how decanting works, share honest reviews, and occasionally ramble about mood, memory, and the art of smelling something that feels like you.

Practicing what I preach - in life and smells

This year I am trying, very consciously, to practice what I preach.

That has meant making some decisions that looked strange from the outside and felt uncomfortable from the inside. The biggest one was leaving a job that I genuinely loved. It was a good job. It taught me a lot. It gave me confidence and room to grow. It also stopped fitting the person I was becoming, and staying would have meant ignoring that truth for the sake of comfort. Leaving became imperative, but the sense of loss was real.
